Tiers & Limits¶
MCP is not available on the web-only Free plan. Authenticated MCP calls require an active SCOUT MCP Trial, SCOUT MCP Explorer subscription, or a SCOUT Tactics / Strategic / Premier plan. Start a trial or subscribe at primerfp.com/pricing.
MCP Trial and MCP Explorer are Classify + Connect tiers: full access to classify_opportunity, live federal/SLED search, and opportunity detail. Full intelligence tools (awards, recompete, discovery reports, etc.) require Tactics or higher — they are not advertised on entry tiers and return a clean upgrade message if invoked.

Exceeding the per-minute limit returns HTTP 429 Too Many Requests.
When the daily search or daily classify cap is reached, the tool returns a structured result with error_type: "daily_search_limit" or "daily_classify_limit" (not an HTTP 429 from the MCP protocol).
Paid Scout tiers may still hit monthly MCP call ceilings; those are surfaced via get_account_info / metrics.
Usage reporting: In-app summaries emphasize substantive research actions. Quick lookups may be counted separately for reliability and support — see get_usage_metrics for your own activity.
Managing API keys¶
- Up to 10 active keys on paid Scout tiers; MCP Trial / Explorer follow the same product rules as your checkout (see in-app Settings → API Keys).
- Keys can be renamed or revoked at any time in Settings → API Keys
- Revoking a key is immediate and irreversible — any client using it will stop working
- Raw keys are shown only once at creation time and are not recoverable
Upgrading your plan¶
Upgrade at primerfp.com/pricing. Higher tiers unlock tools and raise limits; you usually do not need to recreate API keys.
Typical path: MCP Explorer ($29/mo) for classify + search in Claude/ChatGPT → Tactics ($290/mo) for award intel, recompete, and discovery reports.
